A lot of attractions of Hawaii in the Tempozan Marketplace. Aloha!!
Supported by the Hawaii Tourist Board, a professional team consisting of professional hula dancers and halau hula (means a hula school) give hula dance shows, the “Live and Hula Stage” and the “Hula Queen Competition” in which Mr. Shigeki Majima who is a famous choreographer of “Matsuken Samba II” will examine.
Hawaiian Market, where various Hawaiian shops stand by the week, is open in the venue. Further, Hawaiian goods, foods and drinks will be sold in shops of Tempozan Marketplace in collaboration with this event.
<Live and Hula Stage>
Professional hula dancers and high skilled trainees of Halau Hula School will entertain in the event through the period. From 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on July 10th, a special live stage “KAULANA & LIKO Dancers Special Hawaiian Live” is held. “Kaulana” is a professional Hawaiian band and “Liko Dancers” is a name of a professional Hula dancers’ team.
<Period> June 26 (Sat.), June 27 (Sun.), July 3 (Sat.), July 4 (Sun.), July 10 (Sat.), and July 11 (Sun.), 2010.
<Time> Respective 30-minute stage starts at 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

<Hula Queen Competition>
Mr. Shigeki Majima, a choreographer will judge the competition where participants dance solo respectively.

Penguins march in “Penguin Parade” toddling along the Event Plaza also in this year!
Period: From December 18, 2009 (Fri.) to February 7, 2010 (Sun.)
* After January 9th (Sun.), the parade will be held only on Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays.
Starting Time: At 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. (Three times a Day, A Parade Takes Twenty Minutes)
Place: Event Plaza in front of Kaiyukan
Fee: Free (To enter Kaiyukan, Admission Fee Is Required.)
* In this parade, penguins don’t line up actually.
* Please do not touch or close to right beside penguins.
*The parade may be cancelled or a part of the contents may be changed without any prior notice according to the animals’ condition or weather.
Taking Photos with Penguins
After the parade, Kaiyukan staff members deliver lottery tickets to first 300 visitors to participate in the drawing. Five groups per parade (up to four visitors a group) who win the drawing can take photos with King Penguins in the outside exhibition space of penguins. Taken photos are gifted to the winners.

Period: The same day of Penguin Parade
Time: From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Place: Event Plaza in front of Kaiyukan (Outside)

In commemoration of releasing the film “Oceans,” which is documentary film showing various natural scenes of “Ocean and Life Story,” approximately 20 photos capturing marine life in the film are displayed in the “Viewing Room” on the fourth floor of Kaiyukan.
Period: From December 20, 2009 (Sun.) to January 31, 2010 (Sun.)
January 12, 2010, January 13, 2010 and January 14, 2010 are closed days of Kaiyukan.
Period: From 10:00 a.m. to8:00 p.m. (The same as Kaiyukan Opening Hours)
Place: “Viewing Room” on the fourth floor of Kaiyukan.
